Program
Day 1:
Arrival in Bogotá and transfer to your hotel in the historic part of
the city, La Candelaria.
Day 2:
City tour
including Cerro Monserrate, a walk through La Candelaria and
entrance to the famous Gold Museum or Donacion Botero.
Day 3: Bus to Villa de
Leyva and accommodation in colonial hotel in town.
Day 4: Tour to waterfall
in the surrounding with local guide.
Day 5:
Bus to Barichara, Colombian's most beautiful town.
Accommodation in town.
Day 6: Walk over the
Royal Path to Guane, in the afternoon bus to San Gil. Accommodation
just outside town.
Day 7: Ecological walk
to Juan Curi waterfall and in the afternoon rafting on the Foncé
river.
Day 8: Bus to
Bucaramanga and flight to Medellín. Accommodation in city center.
Day 9:
Bus to Rio Claro National Reserve. Accommodation in ecological
cabins in the park.
Day 10:
Tour to one of the caves with walls made of marble and resident to special birds
Day 11: Tour to Hacienda
Napoles, the former house of Pablo Escobar.
Day 12: Bus back to
Medellín. Accomodation in city center.
Day 13: Bus to Manizales
and accommodation in city center.
Day 14: Day tour to Nevado del Ruiz (5300m) including breakfast.
Day 15: Day tour to Termales de San Vicente
and transport to Finca Cafetera close to Pereira.
Day 16: Day off at the finca to learn more about the coffee process.
Day 17: Transport to
Pereira and rest of the day off.
Day 18: In Chiva (local
Colombian transport) to El Cedral and a 2 hour walk through
rainforest to La Pastora in the Ucumary Nature Reserve.
Accommodation in the cabin of the park.
Day 19: Ecological walk
to waterfalls close by and the walk back to El Cedral for the Chiva
back to Pereira.
Day 20: Bus and willy to
Valle de Cocora and accommodation in local farm with stunning views
over Valle de Cocora.
Day 21: 5 hour horse
ride through cloud forest, to a waterfall, spotting hummingbirds and
with views over Valle de Cocora with local guide. In the afternoon in
willy's to Salento. Accommodation in town.
Day 22: Bus to Bogotá
and transport to hotel in city center.
Day 23: Transport to
airport for international flight.
