Thomas did a great job,
and we felt more like we were on holiday with friends rather than
with a guide. He also knew a lot of information about the park and
what he was doing, but was very relaxed and friendly at the same
time. We loved it and hope to do another tour with him!

I had a great trip. I am
already living in Colombia (Medellin)and have been traveling a lot in
this amazing country with its beautifull and friendly people.
Parque el Cocuy is something special. It's a beautifull natural park
near the border with Venezuela. Hiking in the mountains, going up to
5100 meters and climb a glacier. Camping at the side of laguna la plaza,
a beautifull lake at high altitude that changes colors every second. I
loved it all.
Thomas is a perfect and enthusiastic guide who knows a lot about
Colombia. I definitly recommend everybody first, to come to Colombia and
second to use the services of De Una when you're here. You won't regret
it.

The Palmari ecolodge, a few
hours down river into Brazil from Leticia is an attractive, though quite
basic lodge in the midst of the rainforest. The staff are very helpful
and the place has a good, friendly atmosphere. I shared a large rondavel
sort of a place - with a group of teachers, one of whom snored like a
rutting tapir. Annoying, but I went there for the wildlife and took a 3
day hike into the jungle. My guide was exceptionally good at finding the
animals. I have watched wildlife all over the world and Mike was one of
the very best wildlife people I have come across. We saw 15 species of
mammals in 4 days, including some pretty rare stuff like a Giant Otter,
a Woolly Monkey and a Short eared Dog (very hard to find anywhere else
in the world) as well as abundant river dolphins, many other monkeys,
toucans, parrots etc. Taking an extended walk into the jungle is
definitely the best way to see them, though it is quite a rugged trek
and you need to be fairly fit and carry your own food (which the lodge
will supply), and gear.

We hebben enorm van onze reis
door Colombia genoten en wij willen jullie hierbij dan ook hartelijk
bedanken. Het was in één woord geweldig, jullie begeleiding, deskundigheid,
flexibiliteit, service, etc. hebben deze reis voor ons onvergetelijk
gemaakt. We hebben Colombia mogen beleven op een manier die voor ons
onvergetelijk is. Een land met een scala aan landschappen, een bevolking
met een warm hart, een land dat zeker ook voor anderen de moeite van een

Why are you going to Colombia? Are you sure
you are going to Colombia? These were the two questions we got a lot of
people when they heard us going to Colombia. Because it's only a 1,5 our
flight... and it's difficult to get off the island without going via Miami
first... Now we can say we really liked the country and it's nature, the
people that we talked to with our very basic Spanish, the noise of
Colombia which is everywhere! We are definitely coming back next year.
We'll keep in touch with DE UNA to make arrangements for us, Emma already

De reis in Colombia is mijn
mooiste ervaring geweest tot nu toe. Teveel om over te vertellen. Ik ben
geboren in Bogota. Ik was nog nooit eerder naar Colombia geweest. Op 15
augustus 2006 vertrokken ik en mijn vriend dan eindelijk naar Colombia.
Wij hadden gekozen voor DE
UNA tour. Die ons heel goed is bevallen. Wij hebben enorm genoten van
onze vakantie. Wat een geweldig land. De UNA tour is zeker de moeite
waard. Alles was voor ons perfect geregeld! SUPER! Colombia heeft voor
ons een mooie indruk achter gelaten. De mensen en het mooie landschap en
nog heel veel meer… Wij komen zeker weer eens terug naar Colombia om nog
veel meer moois te zien!

Siendo una nña adoptada yo
queria volver a Colombia para reunirme con mi pasado, pero el problema
es que el viaje tenia que ser con mi hijo de un año y ademas vivimos en
Francia y DE UNA no esta en ese pais. Pero Thomas nos organizo un viaje
maravilloso teniendo en cuenta mis deseos y el caso que viajamos con nuestro
hijo. Hemos recorido Colombia: Cartagena, Bogotá, Cali y Villa de Leyva
y todo fue super chevere. Los guias fueron personas muy simpaticas y
muy atentas en nuestro bienestar. Verdaderamente lo hemos pasado super y
queremos en absoluta volver dentro de tres años... con DE UNA por su
puesto!!!

La visita a Colombia ha sido muy grata, las
espectativas se cumplen. Puedes ver los sitios escojidos y disfrutalos
desde la calidez, seguridad, comodidad y como no del entorno. La
organizacion permite que los dias que utilices sean aprovechados al maximo,
que tu decidas dando lugar a poder ser flexibles y cambiar en lo posible
algo que te convenga. Los hoteles siempre estan ubicados en lugares
practicos donde hay margen de movimiento y eso es bueno, los tours son
bien escojidos y con guias muy competentes que te facilitan disfrutar de
lo que estas viendo. Sales muy satisfecho y con ganas de volver. Muy
recomendable! Me gustaria volver y de hacerlo, no me importaria cojer
cualquier tour, estoy segura que cualquiera de ellos me aportaria
satisfacciones, el pais lo ofrece y la agencia lo facilita.

This was really a great
trip, not just to see the country my brother told me so much about, he
also became father (and we Tio and Tia), it was a wonderful experience
to be a witness. Colombia is a beautiful country with a big diversity in
it's nature. The people we met on our way were friendly and helpful. On
the contrary to what some people say we didn't have trouble whatsoever.
Thomas is a superb guide, he is among the locals as one of them which is
really helpful, he took care of our every need. We are coming back for
sure, we haven't seen nearly enough of the country yet. Many thanks

Lang geleden geboren in Colombia, ging ik
samen met mijn zus & zwager voor het eerst sinds 53 jaar terug. Met DE UNA
reizen is een heel goede en veilige manier om dit prachtige land en
bijzonder vriendelijke mensen te leren kennen. Thomas is een erg goede
gids, die heel soepel alles voor ons heeft geregeld. We hebben genoten,
heel veel avonturen meegemaakt, een zware, maar prachtige tocht naar
Ciudad Perdida gelopen, kennis gemaakt met steden als Cartagena, Manizales
en natuurlijk Bogotá. We komen heel graag nog eens terug!

Het was een geweldige ervaring, nooit een
onveilig gevoel gehad en vriendelijke mensen. De trek naar Ciudad Perdida
vereist een behoorlijke conditie, maar is een unieke belevenis.

Ik heb het van het begin t/m het einde heel
erg naar mijn zin gehad. De groep was erg leuk en alle excursies zijn
zelfs volgens nederlandse begrippen prima op tijd en volgens afspraak
verlopen. Jullie weten heel veel van Colombia en zijn nooit te moe om de
vele vragen te beantwoorden. Thomas, de trekking naar Ciudad perdida vond
ik erg pittig en soms gevaarlijk, maar je hebt gelijk, het was misschien
wel het mooist van allemaal. Jullie bieden met de DE UNA Tour, binnen de
gegeven tijd, een heel complete en gevarieerde belevenis van Colombia. De
verlenging op de finca bij Pereira had ik ook niet willen missen. Het
paardrijden hoort erbij en was ook erg leuk. Het zal nog wel een poosje
duren, maar wanneer we het ons weer kunnen veroorloven komen we richting
Colombia. En dan weer met of via DE UNA.

Ik had echt geen zin om naar Colombia te gaan.
Leek me veel te gevaarlijk... De eerste 3 weken met Thomas gelijk alles
verandert. Gewoon supper gids en supper leuk en grappig met hem. Echt
supper bedankt voor die 3 supper onvergetelijke weken. Laatste week met
Erik ook supper leuk en gezellig. Ook supper bedankt voor de laatste week

Onze gids Thomas nam ons eerst mee naar het
koloniale dorpje Villa de Leyva en omgeving. Geweldig is het hier! Na een
kleine week begon DE UNA Tour. De groep bestond uit 11 personen inclusief
Thomas. We hebben Colombia tijdens deze tour in allerlei facetten mogen
leren kennen. Voor onze kinderen was deze reis de perfecte manier om hun
geboorteland te ontdekken. De tour bestond eigenlijk alleenmaar uit
hoogtepunten. Elke dag was weer een nieuwe verassing voor ons. Colombia is
absoluut een land waar je geweest moet zijn. Een goede gids is daarbij
zeker van belang en die hadden wij! Bedankt Thomas, bedankt DE UNA voor
deze geweldige reis. We komen zeker terug!

Ik heb inmiddels al heel wat
landen in Latijns Amerika bezocht, maar een land als Colombia ben ik
nooit meer tegengekomen!!! Prachtige panorama's, ongerepte trails,
geweldige stranden, besneeuwde vulkanen en super feesten... Colombia
heeft gewoonweg alles!!! Tijdens de rest van mijn reis door Zuid Amerika
heb ik nog dikwijls gedacht, was ik maar gewoon in Colombia gebleven.

It
was all we were hoping for! The trip to the Lost City was incredible! Our
guide and porter (Wilson and Jorge) were great and really friendly.
Everything was very well organized. The swimming holes were refreshing
during the hot and humid days of trekking. The hills we had to climb were
not that bad being we had incredible scenery to distract us. Having a
small group and the Lost City all to ourselves was an added bonus (it was
worth planning in advanced to get the small group!). The return trip to
Santa Marta in a truck with no breaks just added to the adventure! It
would have been really hard to plan the trip from the States without the
help and quick response from DE UNA. Thanks for helping to make our entire
trip to Colombia exactly what we wanted.!

We
had a great time and you did a good job. We would like to thank in the
first place our guide Emma. She's working 'with her heart' and this is how
tourism should be. The 'Latin Spirit' of Colombians is quite nice, but
when they don't take their responsibility this can be a problem. Paipa was
really great but when the transport didn't arrive for for Parque Chicaque
it was really good to have the DE UNA organization (I mean of course our
'Sport Billy' - Emma). We are sorry that we didn't visit more of Colombia,
specially the emerald mine of Muzo. We hope that the security problems
will cause less problems for tourism in Colombia in the future. And last
but not least, we have the Retorno Magazine with the description of Caño
de Cristales. This is maybe our next destination in
Colombia. Cordial Saludo.

hebben een leuke trip in een prachtig land gemaakt. Door Colombia valt
(ondanks de negatieve verhalen) goed te reizen. We kwamen vanuit Ecuador
en hadden daardoor een aangepast programma. Erik, wat heb je ons
ontzettend veel verteld over Colombia en wat was je gezellig! We gaan
zeker nog een keer een ander deel van Colombia bezoeken dus jullie horen

Great
Tour. The guide took us to a lot of interesting places (as well as the
best bars) where you wouldn't come without local knowledge. A big
advantage! The carnival was amazing, what a feast! DE UNA has some local
contacts who reserved the best seats for us! As an experienced traveler I
have to say that it was an amazing tour, very well organized. No problems
at all! The best thing is that the guide leaves room for your own
initiatives. So the tour becomes more like 'traveling together' with
somebody who has a lot of local knowledge, contacts and humor. Keep up the
good work guys!!! I'll be back at your office in December.

Very well
organized tour. Everything was set in place for when we began the tour (payment, equipment, transport, where to meet/how to get there, etc).
Erik was a fantastic guide with a good sense of humour (which he needed on this
tour!!), he adapted the tour (well, we weren't going to be walking to far anyway!!) and
he was very understanding at our various predicaments (pulled muscles, seized up legs, sun stroke, heat exhaustion...!). but we still had a great time in the mountains.
Cocuy is an amazing place which we will definitely be visiting again and if we need a tour we'll be booking with the one and only
DE UNA!

Good
organization. With organization "good" I mean actually that I
liked this way a lot because due the fact that it was not over-organized
the participants also had their own responsibilities. And I think this
makes it even better.
Ik heb tijdens de trip naar
parque Cocuy en de bekliming van El Nevado del Tolima behoorlijk diep moeten
gaan, maar de prachtige omgevingen, de goede onderlinge sfeer en enorme
kick van het overwinnen van je uitdagingen maakten het tot een prachtig
avontuur.

It
was a great trip!!! Very well organized. The hotel we visited "El
Almejal" is a beautiful place, the owner was very kind and the food
was awesome.. the best sea food we have ate. There were many cool
activities to choose from, tree climbing, walks to the forest... The
landscapes were wonderful and it was so peaceful, perfect... we wanted to
relax and just enjoy and we really did. Thank you Erik and Thomas, you are
really good at finding cool places to visit in Colombia. I send you a big
hug from Holland!!!
