This roundtrip is a perfect combination between the well-known Caribbean destinations like Cartagena and National Park Tayrona combined with the unknown beaches and islands of the departments Sucre and Cordoba. Despite the high doses of sun, sea and beach there is also enough for the nature and culture lovers to be satisfied. We will see some Arabical influences in the little town of Lorica, the Spanish colonial style in Cartagena and Santa Marta, and to end with the old culture of the Tayrona Indians. Nature can be found in abundance in the Golfo de Morrosquillo as well as in NP Tayrona & Taironaka.

The tour starts in Monteria where we will leave to the Golfo de Morrosquillo. Here we will visit the beautiful beaches of Playa Calao, its surroundings and the islands of San Bernardo. Then we go on to Cartagena where we will experience the rich culture and history of this beautiful colonial city. Also Santa Marta, the oldest town of Colombia is on the program.We will finish this tour in National Park Tayrona where we can enjoy the most beautiful beaches of the Colombian Caribbean coast, the beautiful nature and walk to the ruins old the old Tayrona civilization, 'El Pueblito'. The tour does not end before we visit the another nature park, Taironaka, with besides a lot of wildlife, flora and fauna the striking Don Diego river.

Day 1: Flight Bogotá - Monteria and transport to Punto Bolivar (90 minutes), the most western point of the Golfo de Morrosquillo. Overnight in a cabaña at the Playa Calao.

Day 2: Day tour to the Lorica village situated at the Sinu rivier. In the afternoon a tour in the Cienega de Baño which we will explore by canoe. During this tour we can see a lot of flora and fauna, birds, iguanas and howler monkeys. Accommodation in cabañas.

Day 3: With motor taxi’s we will go to San Antero. Here we can visit a crocodile and turtle project and go by boat through the mangroves, in these mangrove bushes we can see a lot of birds and we will be dropped on Playa Blanca to enjoy the beach and where we can have lunch. At the end of the afternoon back by motor taxi´s to Playa Calao. Accommodation in cabañas.

Day 4: Free morning (or optional visit to the mud volcano of San Antero). In the afternoon transport to Tolú. Accommodation in a hotel in the village at the boulevard.

Day 5: By boat we will be brought to the islands of San Bernardo. After a stop on Isla Palma we will arrive to the island Tintipan where will stay in cabañas at the beach. From here we have various opportunities to visit the island group.

Day 6: Free morning to enjoy these heavenly islands, in the afternoon by boat to Rincon del Mar from which we will travel to Cartagena. In Cartagena we will stay in the historical neighborhood Getsemani within the center walls of the city.

Day 7: In the 's morning we will walk along the most important places of the historical part of the city. The rest of the day there is free time to explore the city a little more, shop for souvenirs or visit the fort San Felippe de Barajas.

Day 8: Free day in Cartagena.

Day 9: Transport to Santa Marta, during the trip we will pass the harbor town Barranquilla. In Santa Marta we will stay at the boulevard in the historical center of the oldest colonial city of Latin Amerika.

Day 10: In the morning we will leave early to visit the Quebrada Valencia. This waterfall of different heights was a very important place for the Indians. In the afternoon we will go to the Don Diego river and will stay at the cabañas right at the river next to an archeological site of the Tayrona Indians.

Day 11: In the morning we will walk with inner tubes up along the Don Diego river so we can float down the river and enjoy the flora and fauna that passes by. After lunch we will go to the National park Tayrona where we will stay the night in hammocks on the Arrecifes beach.

Day 12: In the morning we will leave early to visit the beach of Cabo de San Juan (the nicest beach of the park), on our way we will also pass the nice beach of La Piscina. From El Cabo we will go into the jungle up to Pueblito where we can see the plateau’s of a previous important Tayrona village. We will take a different route back and make a short stop on a different beach where we can relax a moment before going back to the hammocks at Arrecife.

Day 13: In the morning we will go back to Santa Marta for the last night. Accommodation in a hotel at the Santa Marta boulevard.

Day 14: Transport to the airport of Santa Marta, end of tour.
